My Classroom--2012-2013.....All ready for Open House!

KidBlog.org is AWESOME

Just finished setting up our class kidblog for the 2012-2013 school year!  So excited to get my first graders blogging from the beginning of the year.  This is my 2nd year (if you count 3 months of last school year) blogging at school.  I am stretching myself every year to try new things, both personally and professionally.  Once parents got the "hang" of blogging with their students last year---It was a big hit!  If any other 1st grade teachers out there would like to become "blogging buddies" I would love to hear from you.  We aren't planning to begin blogging until the first week of September, so we have time. 

This is a terrific way to learn to be responsible digital citizens in the world...the real world.

This is Just the Beginning....

Hello, everyone out there in Blogger-Land!  I have set a professional goal for myself this summer(2012) to begin my teaching blog.---So, here it goes!  I know I have a lot to learn and a lot to live up to when it comes to professional blogging.  I follow so many teaching blogs that are truly awesome....I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and a little lost.  But, I promise it will only get better from here, right? (Some of us work better under pressure!)

And, in case you don't already know----it is perfectly normal for me to jump into something  new before I have all the kinks worked out. :/ So, to take a quote from Rugrats: "Hang on to your diapers babies, we're going in!"....to the world of blogging, that is!
